Bubbas 2nd Birthday

I never got around to posting my sons birthday pictures, so here I am, posting it 3 months later. Hey, better late than never right? I told you I was behind on my postings...seems like time has been sneaking up on me a lot lately.

Sweet sweet guy. 2 years old!
Wow. Where did my baby go?

Good stuff eh?
Thank one of my blog crushes, Pioneer Woman.

Fish kiss faces and pull up hats?

Yup.

You better believe it. Faces only a mother could love. :)

And they're mine, all mine.

Crazy kids. :)

Hands

Top left: my sweet great grandma, my grandma, me and my daughter.

Pictures of hands resonates deep within my soul. I really don't know why either.
I think they are beautiful, I always have.

A funny thing about me is that I love to look at peoples hands. I think you can tell a lot about a person by their hands. Is that weird?

And I love that my great grandma, my daughters great-great grandma (how crazy is that!) is the only one with her nails painted. If I only knew gram! I would have matched ya. :)

Wordless Thursday?

If you cant tell from all the picture posts, I have soooo many pictures from our time moving/transitioning/vacationing that I am basically trying to post pictures like crazy so I can feel caught up again. Please all excuse my "wordless whatever" posts for the time being. :) So here was my 'Wordless Wednesday' post, but I obviously missed the boat. No pun intended. Ok, maybe a tiny bit intended. The pun that is.

Here are a few more pictures from our time in Bayview. My grandparents have a sailboat. It's pretty awesome.

My grandpa was so kind and let my father-in-law be the captain for the day.
Arent my in-laws cute?
(Not brown nosing one bit, I really do think so!) :)

My Grandma, the tugboat Captian.

My grandma gets to drive this little tugboat all around the lake.
Aint she just cute all tucked away in her little house?

 The thing looked ancient.
I had doubts she would even start.

But she started right up and ran like a dream.

I still cant believe that my grandma is a tugboat captain.
Who would have thought?

And I got to drive her!
It was pretty fun actually. :)

Have you been on a tugboat lately?

First fishing expierence. Bayview, Idaho.

My grandparents got the kids fishing poles when we came to Bayview for a visit.
They got her a princess fishing pole of course. :) We could see the fish in the water, thinking about having a bite, she really wanted them to have some "dinner" that she had prepared for them.:) Little does she know...

And Bubbas fishin pole had McQueen on it.
And he did actually sit like this for a bit.  I don't think he knew what he was waiting for, but he was excited nonetheless.

My Papa Bill caught the first fish.
The kids were in awe.

And surprised by how slimy the little guy was.
Hence the one finger pet.:)

And the one finger slime wipe off.

This is his face after he got to touch the fish.
What a proud guy.

And his face in the background when his sister got to be the one to throw it back into the water.
But she definitely wasn't diggin holding the fish as much as she thought she would.:)

Day trip to Vashon Island

Our friends Travis and his lovely wife Emma invited us out to their family's cabin for the day. It was great to see a body of water again. So refreshing. The smell, the crisp air, the beauty of the mountains. All of it.

An attempt to get a photo.

 Another attempt.
Kids+wind+bright sunshine+distracting sand to dig in= not so great photos.

We did get in some serious bird chasing time though.

The kiddos thought it was neat to drive the car onto the boat and we tried to get yet another photo from the deck. But way too windy.

They would much rather play in the car.

Beautiful Mt. Rainier from the ferry.

When we got off the ferry we drove for a few minutes then hiked down to the cabin.
Everything is so beautiful here.

Our friends' littlest guy. Super. Duper. Cute.

We bubbled.

Our friends' oldest boy. Another serious case of the cuteness.

 And played with rocks.
And searched for sea glass.

 We swam.

We played with the hose.

And got splashed by the hose guy. :)

 We just plain looked cute.

 And took in the view.

Our lovely friends Travis and Emma.

We thought it would be fun for the kids to go on a boat ride...

It was pretty fun for her. Especially when our friend Jason let her drive the boat.:)

But Bubba didn't really have an opinion.

Lovely view from the cabin.

And last last but definitely not least. The kiss! Still cant believe she actually went through with it as she is usually telling me how she doesn't really like boys. She did today! :)
